SOFT POUND CAKE



INGREDIENTS:


3 cups of cake flour(shifted)
5 eggs (room temp)
3 cups of sugar
A pinch of salt
1/2 Tsp baking powder
3 sticks unsalted butter (room temp)
1 Tsp pure vanilla
12 oz cream cheese (room temp)
Cream bouquet (optional)


FILLING :

  • 1/2 cup graham crackers( finely crumbled)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 Tsp cinnamon
    GLAZE :
  • 1½ cups of powdered sugar
  • Small amount of milk depending on how thick you want it
  • dash of vanilla
    ● After cake is made add 1/2 batter then dollop 1/2 graham cracker filling on top add remaining batter and other 1/2 filling.
    ● Swirl filling in batter trying not to scrape bottom of pan. Tap on counter a few times to remove air bubbles.
    ● Bake at 325°F for 1 hr 30 min. Add glaze after cake has been flipped and cooled.
