Ingredients:
2 cups of wheat flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
3/4 cup warm water
How to make Skillet Pita Bread:
In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast and salt.
Add the olive oil and warm water little by little, mixing until a homogeneous dough forms.
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, until it becomes elastic and soft.
Divide the dough into small golf ball-sized balls.
On a floured surface, roll out each ball of dough into thin discs.
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook each disc of dough for about 2 minutes on each side, until lightly golden and puffy.
Serve hot and enjoy!
