Classic Filipino Bread Rolls

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup milk, lukewarm
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Directions:

Dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the milk, sugar, oil, and salt. Add the yeast mixture.
Gradually add flour to the liquid ingredients until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
Punch down the dough and divide into pieces. Roll each piece in breadcrumbs and shape into rolls.
Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cover, and let them rise again until doubled, about 30 minutes.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
