Ingredients:
- 1.5 pounds of beef, cut into strips
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 onion, thickly chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 1/2 cups of beef broth
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
Instructions:
- Place the beef, green peppers, and onions into an electric pressure cooker.
- Season the beef and peppers with garlic powder, ground ginger, black pepper, soy sauce, and brown sugar.
- Pour the beef broth into the pressure cooker, stirring to mix everything together.
- Close the lid securely and set the pressure cooker to high pressure for around 15 minutes.
- Once done, release the pressure quickly or allow it to naturally release, depending on your preference for the steak’s tenderness.
- Remove the lid and switch the pressure cooker to sauté mode.
- In a separate bowl, mix 1/4 cup of cold water with cornstarch until smooth.
- Stir the cornstarch mixture into the pepper steak in the pressure cooker.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
