Garlic mushroom chicken with bacon

Ingredients:

4 chicken breast fillets
7 oz salted bacon bits
9 oz brown mushrooms, sliced
6 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1/4 cup dry white wine
Instructions:

Season the Chicken: Season the chicken breast fillets with salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and sweet paprika on both sides.

Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon bits until they are crispy. Remove them from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.

Sear the Chicken: In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add the olive oil. Place the seasoned chicken breast fillets in the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Mushrooms and Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the mushrooms are softened and golden brown.

Deglaze with Wine: Pour the dry white wine into the skillet to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Allow the wine to simmer for a few minutes until it has reduced slightly.

Make the Cream Sauce: Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Allow the sauce to simmer for a few minutes until it has thickened slightly. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.

Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked chicken breast fillets to the skillet, along with the cooked bacon bits. Spoon the creamy mushroom sauce over the chicken and bacon, coating them evenly.

Finish and Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot. This garlic mushroom chicken with bacon pairs well with rice, pasta, or crusty bread. Enjoy your delicious meal!
