Oreo Icebox Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (14.3 ounces) Oreo cookies
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate shavings or additional crushed Oreos for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until you have a smooth and fluffy filling.
  4. Take a 9×9-inch (or similar size) baking dish or serving dish, and spread a small amount of the filling mixture on the bottom to create a thin layer.
  5. Arrange a layer of Oreo cookies on top of the filling, covering it completely. You can use whole cookies or crush them slightly to fit in any gaps.
  6. Add another layer of the cream filling on top of the Oreo layer, using about 1/3 of the mixture.
  7. Continue layering with cookies and filling until you run out of ingredients. The number of layers will depend on the depth of your dish.
  8. Finish with a layer of the cream filling on top.
  9. Optionally, you can garnish the top with chocolate shavings or additional crushed Oreos for extra flavor and presentation.
  10. Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the Oreo Icebox Cake for at least 4-6 hours, preferably overnight. Chilling allows the flavors to meld and the cookies to soften, creating a cake-like texture.
  11. Once chilled, slice and serve the Oreo Icebox Cake. Enjoy!

This dessert is perfect for gatherings or parties as it’s easy to make in advance and serves a crowd. It’s a crowd-pleaser, especially for Oreo and cookies and cream lovers!
