3 cups whole milk
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions:
In a saucepan, mix the brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring no lumps form.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and boils. Continue to cook and stir for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract until smooth.
Pour the pudding into a serving bowl or individual dessert cups. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until set.
