Crockpot Lasagna

Simple and easy ! My whole family loves this recipe so much. If it were for them, I’d be making this every day! Give it a shot, you’ll love it!To Make this Recipe You’ Will Need the following ingredients.

Crockpot Lasagna is juicy, cheesy, beefy, and tastes just as good as a Classic Lasagna, but easier! There is no need to pre-cook noodles, you just add them raw and they cook up perfectly tender in the slow cooker. This is also a make-ahead lasagna that can be assembled a day ahead for convenient meals (hello Sunday lunch).

Slow cookers have been a little neglected with the popularity of Instant Pots and air fryers, but let’s not forget why we love them in the first place – you can set it and forget it until dinner time (like Crockpot Chili), so it’s ready when you are.

Ingredients:
Sauce
1lb Ground Beef
1lb Italian Sausage
28oz Can Crushed Tomatoes
15oz Can Tomato Sauce
6oz Can Tomato Paste
10oz Can Hot Rotel (Optional – Could be substituted with a 14.5oz Can of Diced Tomatoes – Drain)
¼ Cup Fresh Basil
¼ Cup Fresh Parsley
2 Tsp Minced Garlic
1 Cup Diced Onion
2 Tsp Crushed Red Pepper (Optional)
1 Tsp Italian Seasoning
1 Tsp Salt
½ Tsp Black Pepper
Directions:
Brown ground beef and drain.
Spoon 1 Cup spaghetti sauce in bottom of 4 quart crock pot.
Mix remaining sauce with beef.
Place 2 uncooked lasagna noodles on sauce in crock pot.
Spread 1/3 meat mixture on top of noodles.
Spread 3/4 Cup cottage cheese over meat.
Sprinkle 1/2 Cup mozzarella cheese over cottage cheese.
Add another layer of uncooked noodles, 1/3 meat mixture, the remaining cottage cheese and 1/2 Cup mozzarella cheese.
Place another layer of uncooked noodles, meat mixture, and mozzarella cheese.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top.
Cook on low for 4 hours.
If cooked much longer, it gets a bit well done.

Another direction:
Brown ground beef and drain.
Spoon 1 Cup spaghetti sauce in bottom of 4 quart crock pot.
Mix remaining sauce with beef.
Place 2 uncooked lasagna noodles on sauce in crock pot.
Spread 1/3 meat mixture on top of noodles.
Spread 3/4 Cup cottage cheese over meat.

Add another layer of uncooked noodles, 1/3 meat mixture, the remaining cottage cheese and 1/2 Cup mozzarella cheese.
Place another layer of uncooked noodles, meat mixture, and mozzarella cheese.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top.
Cook on low for 4 hours.
If cooked much longer, it gets a bit well done.

Recipe Notes:
*Important: Do not cook on high!
**Cook 3 1/2 hours on low if slow cooking right away and 4 hours on low if slow cooking after having the lasagna assembled and refrigerated overnight.
