Delicious Beef Stew

Ingredients:

-3 tbsp olive oil
-2 lbs beef cubes
-2 onions, chopped
-3 garlic cloves, minced
-340 ml beer

  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
    Preparation:
    1 Brown the Beef:
  • In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides. Once browned, remove the beef and set it aside.
    2 Sauté Onions and Garlic:
  • In the same saucepan, add the chopped onions and cook for a few minutes, stirring often until they become translucent.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.
    3 Deglaze and Combine:
  • Pour in the beer and beef broth, stirring to deglaze the pan and release any browned bits from the bottom.
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, paprika, thyme, salt, pepper, and sugar. Stir well to combine.
    4 Simmer the Stew:
  • Return the browned beef to the pan.
  • Cover the saucepan and let the stew simmer on low heat for about 1.5 hours.
    5 Add Vegetables:
  • Add the diced potatoes and sliced carrots to the stew.
  • Cover and continue simmering for another 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the meat is cooked through.
    6 Adjust Seasoning:
  • Taste the stew and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
    7 Serve:
  • Ladle the stew into bowls and serve hot.
