Air Fryer Boiled Eggs

Making boiled eggs in an air fryer is simple and efficient, and it doesn’t require any water. You’ll get perfectly cooked eggs every time with a slightly different texture compared to traditional stovetop boiling. Here’s how to do it:

Ingredients

:

Eggs (as many as you want to cook, as long as they fit in the air fryer basket)
Instructions

:

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 270°F (132°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
Prepare the Eggs: Place the eggs directly in the air fryer basket. No need for any oil, water, or cooking spray. You can stack them if you’re making more than one, but ensure they aren’t overcrowded.
Cook the Eggs:
For soft-boiled eggs: Cook for 9-10 minutes.
For medium-boiled eggs: Cook for 11-12 minutes.
For hard-boiled eggs: Cook for 13-14 minutes.
Cool the Eggs: Once the eggs are done cooking, carefully remove them from the air fryer basket. Use tongs or a spoon to avoid burns, as they will be hot.
To stop the cooking process and cool the eggs quickly, transfer them to a bowl of ice water or run cold water over them for a few minutes. This will also make peeling them easier.
Peel and Serve: Once the eggs have cooled enough to handle, gently tap them on the counter to crack the shell, then peel. If the shell is stubborn, you can roll the egg gently between your hands to loosen it.
Tips

:

Adjust the time: If you prefer a different level of doneness, adjust the time slightly. If you want a runnier yolk, reduce the cooking time by a minute or two.
Using older eggs: Older eggs tend to peel more easily than fresh ones, so if you’re having trouble peeling your eggs, try using eggs that have been in your fridge for a week or so.
Multiple eggs: If you’re cooking several eggs at once, just make sure there’s space around them for the air to circulate properly.
This method is an easy, hands-off way to cook boiled eggs without a pot of boiling water. Enjoy them for a quick breakfast, snack, or added to salads!
