🍗 One-Pan Chicken with Creamy Buttered Noodles
🍽️ Serves: 4
⏱️ Total Time: 30–35 minutes
🔥 Method: Stove-top, one skillet
🌟 Comfort food made easy — no boiling pasta separately!
✅ Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika (optional)
1 tbsp olive oil or butter for searing
For the Noodles:
2 tbsp butter
3–4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups chicken broth (or more as needed)
1 cup milk or half-and-half
8 oz egg noodles (or any quick-cooking pasta)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: chopped parsley, chili flakes, or extra butter for richness
🔪 Instructions:
1. Season & Sear the Chicken
Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Heat olive oil or butter in a large deep skillet or sauté pan over medium heat.
Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove chicken from pan and set aside (cover loosely to keep warm).
2. Make the Creamy Noodle Base
In the same pan, add 2 tbsp butter.
Sauté the garlic for 30–60 seconds until fragrant (don’t burn).
Add the chicken broth and milk, stirring to combine.
Bring to a simmer.
3. Cook the Noodles in the Sauce
Stir in the egg noodles.
Cover and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender and liquid is mostly absorbed.
Add a splash of extra broth or milk if it gets too dry before pasta is done.
4. Add Cheese & Finish
Once noodles are cooked and creamy, stir in Parmesan cheese.
Taste and adjust with salt & pepper.
Return chicken to the pan, nestling it into the noodles.
Let it warm through for 2–3 minutes.
5. Serve
Garnish with fresh parsley, more cheese, or a little melted butter on top.
Serve straight from the skillet — it’s rustic and satisfying!
📝 Tips & Variations:
Add veggies: Toss in spinach, peas, or mushrooms after noodles are cooked.
Creamier version: Use heavy cream instead of milk.
Add heat: A pinch of red pepper flakes in the butter-garlic base works wonders.
