Olive Oil Dip with Warm Bread
Ingredients:
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar (optional)
- Freshly baked crusty bread, sliced
Instructions:
- Combine Herbs and Spices:
◦ In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, dried basil, oregano, rosemary, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and kosher salt. - Add Olive Oil and Cheese:
◦ Pour the extra virgin olive oil over the herb mixture.
◦ Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until well combined. - Optional Balsamic Addition:
◦ If desired, add a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar to the mixture for a hint of sweetness and depth. - Serve:
◦ Transfer the dip to a shallow serving dish.
◦ Serve immediately with slices of warm, crusty bread for dipping.
