Ingredients :
2 glazed donuts, sliced in half horizontally
4 slices bacon
4 slices cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Directions:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and cayenne pepper, if using.
Place the sliced donuts in the skillet, cut side down, and toast until golden brown and slightly crispy.
Flip the donuts over and place 2 slices of cheddar cheese on each bottom half of the donuts.
Crumble the cooked bacon on top of the cheese.
Drizzle the maple syrup mixture over the bacon.
Place the top halves of the donuts on top of the bacon and cheese.
Press down gently and cook for 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the donuts are warmed through.
Remove from the skillet and serve immediately.
