Ingredients:
8 oz cavatappi pasta
1 lb top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tsp blackened seasoning (for steak)
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 lb salmon, skin removed, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 tsp blackened seasoning (for salmon)
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 small yellow onion, diced
2 tsp minced garlic
2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp blackened seasoning (for sauce)
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Chopped parsley for garnish
Directions:
Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water, add pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, drain the rest, and set aside.
Steak: Season steak with blackened seasoning. In a large skillet over high heat, melt butter, add steak, and sear for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove to a plate and cover to keep warm.
Salmon: Dry salmon with paper towels, season with blackened seasoning. In the same skillet, heat oil and cook salmon for 2-3 minutes per side. Transfer to the plate with steak.
Sauce: Sauté onions in the skillet until soft, add garlic, then stir in cream, reserved pasta water, Parmesan, blackened seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until the cheese melts and sauce thickens.
Combine pasta with the sauce, adding more pasta water if necessary. Top with steak and salmon, garnish with parsley, and serve.
