Ingredients:
8-10 chicken drumsticks
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Your favorite barbecue sauce
Instructions:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels and season them with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and dried thyme to create a rub.
Coat the drumsticks with the spice rub, making sure they are covered evenly.
Oil the grill grates to prevent sticking and place the drumsticks on the grill.
Grill the chicken, turning occasionally, until it’s cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C), about 20-25 minutes.
During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the chicken with your favorite barbecue sauce, turning them until the sauce becomes caramelized and sticky.
Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the drumsticks hot off the grill with additional barbecue sauce for dipping if desired. Enjoy your meal!
